We were glad to hit the road the following morning. We did order some chicken wings and they were OK but no celery or carrots were available. That turned out to be the same bar food menu that the casino snack bar offered. We called the main desk and inquired about room service and was told that the TV remote control could pull up a food menu. The room was comfortable but there was no hotel info folders with things like TV channel listings and room service menu information.
We think management dropped the ball on this one. The casino floor was very busy and several people expressed disappointment that the only dining available was either fine dining (with reservations required) or the very much 'fried-food' snack bar. It was, however, a Federal holiday as Christmas Day was on Sunday this year. Since it was a Monday, the buffet was not available. We were excited to visit Harrah's Metropolis as it had been a while since our last overnight stay there.
